Somporker Noya Setu is mostly focused on promoting the rights of transgender and other gender-diverse communities and marginalized people for advocacy policy implementation, formulation, and changes. SNS emerged in October 2010 as a community-based organization (CBO) with a view to promote and uphold the human rights of transgender, sex workers, Hijra, and other gender-diverse communities. Our inspiration is that we are ‘human beings’, so we are entitled to enjoy all the rights and opportunities other persons have. Since its inception, SNS has been accomplishing various projects, events, and consultancy services in partnership with a number of organizations including BRAC University’s School of Public Health and BRAC Institute of Educational Development; CREA (Creating Resources for Empowerment and Action Inc.), Action AID Bangladesh, Oxfam Bangladesh, Bandhu Social Welfare Society, Bangladesh Legal Aid and Services Trust (Blast), Astraea Foundation for Justice, Women’s Fund Asia.
Ensure the rights and equality of transgender and other gender-diverse communities through institutional capacity building, policy change, legal support, advocacy and networking at regional, national and international level.
SNS key strategies are as follows:

- Advocacy, networking and collaboration for policy and program implementation, formulation and changes that impacting the life of transgender and other sexual minorities.
- Building organizational sustainability through resource mobilization
